Yes. When the forecasted “feels like” temperature is 15°F or lower, Genesis Church will offer cold-weather shelter as part of the Collaborative Response for Extreme Weather (CREW) network.
Along with community partners and support from the City of Fayetteville, CREW provides overnight shelter, daytime warming spaces, meals, showers, dry clothing, and other essential care. These services are open to all residents, including unsheltered community members.
Expanded shelter may include indoor kennels for pets and shuttle transportation between daytime and overnight locations. Information about bed availability and transportation is shared each time the cold weather response is activated through social media and direct outreach.

The Genesis Logo is an interconnection of seven concentric circles, which symbolize the six days of Creation and the day of Rest that are presented in the first chapter of Genesis. In the middle is a flower with an emerging light, which depicts the life-giving nature of God’s original plan for humanity. Taken together, this presents a reference point for God’s redemption plan through Jesus Christ – to make a new creation that restores God’s image in people and produces life-giving agents in our world.
